We saw “An American in Paris” at The Pantages Theatre!

Last night we had the amazing opportunity to go see a classic at the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood… “An American in Paris”!! And it did not disappoint! It was absolutely delightful!!! We had amazing seats which were front and center of the mezzanine which provided us the best vantage point to see all of the dancing. I truly must say it was refreshing to see such a happy, lighthearted show with beautiful choreography, singing, writing, acting, and the score was amazing too (Gershwin)! It’s not hard to see why this won the Academy Award for Best Picture back in 1951. Bravo to Garen Scribner and Sara Esty who played Jerry Mulligan and Lise Dassin so well. Gayton Scott was hilarious as Madame Baurel and I truly appreciated the writing as this provided some very nice laughs. Of course the film is about romance though and I felt that they did a wonderful job with the set visuals, costuming and music to set the scene for love. It was a great show for all ages and such a pleasure to watch! Fun fact: Bruno Tonioli from Dancing With The Stars was in the audience at the show last night! Gotta love Hollywood! 🙂

Thanks Pantages for having us and really recommend you guys to go see “An American in Paris”!

It will be showing at the Pantages Theatre thru April 9th, 2017!
