“Disney On Ice Presents Dream Big” Recap!

Happy Friday!

Last night had an absolutely fantastic time at Disney on Ice’s Dream Big show in Long Beach! Anyone that knows me knows that I am a big Disney Princess fan so I definitely had to check this show out. I scooped up my best friend Karen who is also a Disney fanatic and we road tripped it down to the LBC.

Now you may say to yourself, “but wait Brandi, you don’t have any kids?” That may be true, but that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy the show as an adult as well! In fact I rather enjoyed it very much due to the fact that Disney featured every beloved princess that we grew up on from Ariel to Sleeping Beauty to Jasmine to Snow White! This truly was a show for all ages that parents and kids alike could enjoy.

Obviously “Frozen” was the most popular portion of the show which is not surprising due to it’s worldwide success with young girls in this generation. It was also nice to see Tinkerbell, Goofy and of course Mickey & Minnie to make it a true Disney experience. The costuming was splendid, full of vibrant colors and clever ways of translating original Disney fashion to the ice. Also enjoyed the special effects especially the fire on ice (which you have to see to believe!). Most importantly though was the skill level of the performers. They were amazing! They were full of energy, interacted well with the audience, great skating, and even did some cool tricks & jumps! I’d say the only drawback as a parent is to make sure you bring extra cash because the merchandise and food/snacks are definitely displayed prominently and your kids will bug you for something lol.

Overall it was a delightful show to watch that made it well worth the trip. Watching the smiles on those little girls faces in the audience just melted my heart and truly made me believe in the magic of Disney. Thanks for a great show!

Oh and by the way, if you purchase your ticket by April 30th at disneyonice.com and use the code: MOM20, you can receive 20% off!!! Don’t miss out!
